Pole Barn Kit Description:

Size: 30x50x16 with Porch

Posts are either laminated or solid. Laminated posts are used on the primary structure and solid posts are used on all porches and lean to’s.

Skirt boards are all rated for ground contact and are either dimensional 2×6 or 2×8 material.

Our wall girts are all #1 2×6 dimensional stock and will provide you with a nice wide surface to attach your panels to.

The material that you will set your trusses on. Our truss carriers are sized based on the barn specifications and local code requirements. This can range from 2×10 material to 16” LVL material.

Your trusses will be engineered and manufactured specifically for your barn kit. They are commonly set on either 4 or 5 foot centers.

Roof purlins are #1 2×4 dimensional lumber in lengths that are optimized for the least amount of waste as you finish up your framing.

Some of our kits include soffits. The soffits will be an opportunity for ventilation, will move the water further from the building, and also will add to the aesthetic appeal of your new barn.

Likewise, some of our pole barn kits include rolled insulation that you will install under the steel panels and over your framing. This product is great as a vapor barrier and holds an impressive R value.

Your barn will come with either 26 or 29 gauge metal panels. In some cases you may have both. We commonly use 26 gauge metal for our roof panels as it is thicker than the 29 gauge.

There are a variety of metal trims that you will use to appropriately complete your building. Everything that you need will be in your pole barn kit and we will provide you with the details you need to effectively install these components.

  • Ridge Cap
  • Rake & Corner
  • Drip Edge
  • J-Channel
  • Rat Guard
  • Overhead Door Trim
  • Vinyl Weatherstrip
  • Z Bar (wainscot trim)
  • Fascia Trim
  • F&J Channel (overhang trim – soffits)

We send a variety of fasteners along with your new barn. They will be for different parts of the build, and you will have detailed instructions so you know when and where to use them.

  • 1 ½” and 2” painted screws for panels
  • Structural screws for headers/carriers
  • Deck screws for miscellaneous use

We utilize :
Plyco and Pella entrance doors.
CHI garage doors. Sterling and Silvercraft doors for our horse barns.

We’re sure you’ve heard of Pella windows. We will be sending Pella windows along with your  kit.

This could be something like a cupola.
